FAQs

SWS SUMMER CAMP ELIGIBLE WRESTLERS

While our Clinics are open to wrestlers of all ages and experience levels, the SWS Summer Camp in Mechanicsburg, PA is geared towards experienced athletes. The SWS Summer camp is open to wrestlers entering grades 7-12 in the Fall of 2024. Campers will be grouped with other campers of the same age, grade level, and experience to ensure everyone gets the most out of each session.

MY ATHLETE WON’T BE IN 7TH GRADE YET DURING THE FALL OF 2024. CAN THEY STILL ATTEND CAMP?

The SWS Summer Camp is for experienced wrestlers who are serious about taking their skills to the next level. If you have a wrestler who does not meet the age requirement to attend camp but is experienced enough to train with older athletes, please email us at info@snyderwrestling.com as we do make expectations on a case by case basis.

HOW CAN I COMMUNICATE WITH THE SWS TEAM?

Please read our FAQs page to see if any of your questions have been answered there. You are also welcome to email us via the Contact Us form. You will get the fastest response from email. Typically, you will see a response to your email within 12 hours.

Yes. We will do our best to match you with your requested roommate. After completing your registration, you will receive an email with information on how to complete your roommate request form.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CAMP?

We will provide a mattress, pillow, pillow case, and blanket. Campers must provide all additional bedding to include sheets, and extra blankets; sleeping bags are recommended. Rooms include a bed and mattress for each camper, but you must provide your own towels, wash cloths, and any other toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste). You should also bring enough T-shirts, shorts, and socks for 3 changes daily; you’ll be sweating and will need to change multiple times a day. Campers must bring at least one pair of running shoes and one pair of wrestling shoes. It is recommended that campers bring Sandals to camp for moving around in between sessions or in the dorms. Keep an eye out for our Information packet with additional details as we get closer to Camp.

WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING TO CAMP?

We recommend that you do NOT bring anything of value (jewelry, radios, substantial amounts of cash, TVs, etc.). We cannot vouch for everyone who attends camp. Everyone must be vigilant regarding security and safety. That means always lock your door and put your name on everything.

ARE LAUNDRY MACHINES AVAILABLE FOR USE ON CAMPUS?

Yes. You should bring your own laundry detergent and change to operate the machines.

MY TEAMMATES ARE COMING TO CAMP. CAN WE TRAIN TOGETHER?

Yes! We will always do our best to group wrestlers coming from the same school together. However, our training groups are determined by grade, experience, and weight, to ensure the best experience for each athlete.

There will not be a dedicated Autograph and Photo session at this camp. We ask that all campers, parents, and coaches refrain from asking for autographs and photos at any other time to avoid creating a distraction and to ensure we provide the best instruction possible and remain on schedule.
